Queens Tech Corner: Regnault Drake Sanders and Jonathan Lin of Schoolconomy

Can you tell us a little about your company and how you got your start?

Schoolconomy is a mobile platform that rewards students for good grades. Students submit their grades to earn points, which they can use to redeem different rewards. Rewards range from Chick-fil-A sandwiches to Amazon gift cards and tickets to professional sporting events.

How did the two of you get your start in tech?

Regnault began his journey as a tech entrepreneur when he recognized that the workload of a full-time college student is comparable to that of a full-time job. Inspired by this observation, he founded the tech startup Schoolconomy to support students in their academic endeavors. Jonathan discovered his passion for technology as a student at the Bronx High School of Science, where he spent countless hours working with computers. He joined Schoolconomy to assist Regnault in rewarding students for their hard work and dedication.

What is your latest project, and why are you excited about it?

Our latest project involves working with the Queens tech community to provide job opportunities to students and young adults seeking full-time tech jobs in our borough. We are excited to partner with businesses in Queens and the Greater New York area and connect them with the talented young students in the Queens community.

This month’s featured tech entrepreneurs are Regnault Drake Sanders and Jonathan Lin. Regnault is the founder & CEO, and Jonathan is the co-founder & Chief Marketing Officer of Schoolconomy, a mobile platform that rewards students for their good grades and encourages them to continue striving for greatness.
